BEST FOR WOW FACTOR

1 Source d'Argent, Seychelles

As though an ocean side like this required any upgrade, pink-toned sand raises the stakes in the
image postcard stakes at Source d'Argent, a segregated inlet on La Digue, the Seychelles' third-
biggest island (in an archipelago of 115). Immense, endured rock stones bookend the shore, and
there are close by cafés for inspecting Creole-roused food.

2 Dune du Pyla, France

This ocean side is Europe's tallest hill at more than 100 meters. It's an hour's drive from Bordeaux
and is in a real sense astonishing. You will protect your eyes as much from the gleaming hotness
murkiness as the flawless sand. After you've taken in the all encompassing perspectives over the
Atlantic and pine backwoods behind, there are miles of sea shores to investigate along the Bassin
d'Arcachon. Take a ship from Arcachon wharf to Cap Ferret for the best perspective on the ridge. To
eat, head to the clam cabanes, where anglers set up tables and serve shellfish, prawns, paté, bread
and rosé wine.

Icing-sugar sand, 3km of it, completely clear Caribbean water, seaward coral reef with marvelous
swimming or plunging, a sprinkling of bars and outdoors eateries … task finished! This stretch on the
east of the fun yachtie island, close to Dickenson Bay town, is calmer than neighboring Jabberwock
ocean side.

4 Cala Saona, Formentera

There is no deficiency of delightful sea shores on the littlest of the Balearics yet everyone appears to
need to pack on to Illetes and Espalmador. Much better to enlist a bicycle or sulked in the primary
port, La Savina, and head a couple of kilometers across the island to Cala Saona. It has completely
clear water, white sand and sensational red precipices on the two sides. It points toward the west, so
is the best spot for a sundowner at, say, the charmingly basic Cala Saona chiringuito.

Ships to Formentera (30 minutes) run oftentimes from Ibiza Town for about €50 return. For a treat,
stay at the cool, current Cala Saona Hotel (summer copies from €280 B&B)

5 Glass Beach, California

Notice

An ocean side produced using long stretches of unloaded litter sounds like a hellhole however, at
Glass ocean side, on the Mendocino coast in California, the outcome is very excellent. From 1906 to
1967, glass, machines and even vehicles were hurled into the ocean. A tidy up program eliminated all
the metal and non-biodegradable waste, and the waves separated the glass and stoneware, which
cleaned up as gem like, clear stones. These days, the ocean side is important for MacKerricher state
park, and guests are prohibited for eliminating the ocean glass trinkets.

6 Starfish Beach, Panama

Panama has three archipelagos: San Blas is expensive to get to, the Pearl Islands are expensive to
remain on, yet Bocas del Toro, only south of Costa Rica on the Caribbean side, puts virgin ocean side
ideal world inside a hiker spending plan. From the astounding town center point of Bocas on Isla
Colón, boat taxis cross between the 10 possessed islands and approximately 300 islands and islets,
albeit this secured ocean side, magnificently adorned with a liberal sprinkling of starfish, is on Colón
itself.

To a greater degree a bay rather than an ocean side, upheld by bluffs and thick woods, with white
sands and stones and clear blue waters – is Fakistra on the Pelion landmass (central area Greece),
beneath Tsagarada town. It's a precarious stroll down yet it's the kind of spot that, aside from in July
and August, you might well need to yourself.

8 Flamenco Beach, Puerto Rico

Flamenco Beach settles in a horseshoe inlet on Culebra Island, Puerto Rico.

Whenever requested to plan the ideal tropical ocean side, Playa Flamenco on Culebra island, off the
east shore of Puerto Rico, is likely what you would think of. It's a U-formed inlet with white sand,
warm turquoise water, palm trees, rich vegetation and a quiet tidal pond. The island's lacking state is
halfway because of the US military, which used to utilize it as a gunnery range – a rusting Sherman
tank stays in the sand. It makes a roadtrip by ship from Fajardo on the Puerto Rico central area ($4.50
return): a bus transport runs from the ship port. Culebra has a fantastic government-run campground
directly on the sand at the western side of the sound. It's very essential, with showers open just
three hours every day, except set up your shelter under mangroves ($20 for up to six individuals),
stock up on water, pina coladas and neighborhood snacks (comida criolla) and you may never need
to leave. If you do, however, there are bicycles to employ.

Picking the best ocean side in Thailand is a close to unthinkable errand. However, one Thai island that
is still generally serene is Koh Kradan, close more occupied Koh Lipe, in the Andaman Sea. With fine
sand, amazing swimming on a reef simply off the ocean side, loungers and perfectly clear water, it
would suit the people who would prefer not to drink cans of spirits under a full moon. You can kayak
round the entire island – 90% of which is essential for Hat Chao Mai public park – in three hours to
more separated spots, and go on longtail boat outings to Ko Waen, Ko Chueak and Ko Muk's Emerald
Cave.

10 Playa del Amor (Hidden Beach), Mexico

An underground ocean side sounds like the stuff of legend, yet the Marietas Islands, where Hidden
Beach lies, were utilized as a tactical proving ground by the Mexican government in the mid 1900s,
and it's presumed that a bomb might have made the pit wherein it sits. Admittance to this bow inside
a vast round opening in the scene, is by swimming or kayaking through a long passage. Numerous
administrators run boat trips here from Puerto Vallarta ($76 with ecotoursvallarta.com), however the
ocean is harsh and you need to swim in close to misleading rocks. However, it's staggering – Jacques
Cousteau was a fan – with the reward of perhaps detecting a humpback whale coming.
